I started my boat yesterday and it ran for about five minutes. Then, slowly quit running like it was running out of gas. It has fuel and the bulb is pressurized.

I thought it may have been because I had the gas tank vent valve closed causing vapor lock. I opened the valve, but still could not get the boat started.

I tried again today with no luck. I looked at the fuel connector. It seems ok, but I am not sure.

I don't know what the inside of a new one looks like. Is it suppose to have anything in there to push the small fuel pin valve on the motor, open to allow fuel to the motor. My connector is empty. I push the pin on the motors valve and it seems to have fuel in it.

Does the fuel pressure from the bulb push that valve on the motor open?

The connector should have a ball and "O"ring in it. Do away with the connector at the motor and run fuel line strait to the fuel pump.

Thanks. There is no ball or o-ring.
