Leaving for Galveston friday morning, hope the storms stay away. Wife all ready got it all setup if the weather holds out we going to the jetties in Galveston. My only problem is not sure where to put the boat in at, and the real bad thing is I have never let in at Galveston. A new learning experience.

Leaving Houston for Matagorda tonight.
The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

We will be at what was beach access #5 west of the San Luis Pass area. Will be in a white Dodge 4x4. Depending on weather and fish, we will stay through Saturday.

Headed to West Matagorda in the morning, maybe east if the locks are still being worked on...sunday appears to be a wash out though, 70% chance of rain!

Locks are closed today. Don't know about tomorrow. tough morning in E. Matty. Got a 26" right off the bat, then nothing. Winds have been brutal lately.

was going to go to Rollover but this weather might keep me from doing so. I am getting ready to move right on Trinity Bay so no sweat. The right day will come.
As a side note: I heard again tonight on the Houston news that they are considering closing Rollover. While the story itself is not new, the frequency in which I'm hearing it on the news kind of leads me to believe the closing of Rollover is all but done.
