went out there yesterday. spent a couple hours at the marina. some nice crappie being caught. the water is not very deep but its holding a few females in that shallow water. i expect with this cool temps it mite turn them off. still was good to some water back in that place. the owners are some really nice people. and for the price you cant beat it. agian its still hit or miss out there but hey its like that every where right now.

I have been seeing a few good ones coming from the marina, your right though with this cold snap it will be probably wed-thursday before it gets good again. The water at marina is only a couple foot deep, but its coming around.

can you launch there yet? dad has a 16' skeeter and was wondering. hes jonesin for some crappie

Went out to one of the Corps parks and saw 1 guy with 6 keepers and another with about 15 keepers. I didn't have my pole with me, but those guys left em biting. Will probably go back out tomorrow and see if the cold has messed them up. They were all caught on minnows in about 2' of water

I launch my 21.5ft CC deep V with no problems at the marina. Its about 1.5ft right at the dock. Still shallow but ou should have no problems. Only thing to watch for is when you leave marina stay to the left going out into main lake.

is there only 1 park or which park/parks were you refering to?

They were in about two foot of water last friday in Bear Creek.We caught 11 in about 2 hours on minnows.Not great but better than it has been.

Im not from the area but the Corps park was near some RR tracks. Hope that helps

i think i going to try it thuresday mid mornig. i have a meeting in the am and come in at 3 pm so i mite run up there to see if i can get back into them. i think i'll stay on the north end here at dutch branch.

I'll be out there Friday morning after getting off from the firehall. Was out there Tuesday with the boat and wife and ended up at Rockey Creek just before dusk. A gentleman showed off a 15" crappie his dad caught. We fished for an hour with no luck.
