Build some ponds with fresh running water and brood tanks and holding tanks ponds, buy some trucks, and round up some clients, and you too can be a commercial catfisher person.
I'd also Google catfish farming!

AT 25 fish a day you might want to find a backup plan for that. Good luck with it, like Jimbo said google it or google catfish corner at Canyon Lake, they might help you change your mind.

Ya the limits are different.. but I think there is a big swing towards farm raised fish.. So a lake job like that may be tough to find.

Theres no market for it. It's too easy for outfits to call in orders to the catfish farms for what they need without worry that they won't have what they need when they need it.

COMMERCIAL BAG, POSSESSION AND LENGTH LIMITS Species Bag Limit Possession Limit Maximum Length (Inches) Minimum Length (Inches) Amberjack, greater 1 2 32 No limit Drum, black* No limit No limit 14 30 Catfish: blue & channel 25*** (In any combination) 50 (In any combination) 14 No limit Catfish, gafftopsail No limit No limit 14 No limit Maybe I have been reading the wrong commercial fisherman laws for fishing for them out of a Texas lake. Mason, am I looking in the wrong spot? I was always under the impression that the commercial limits were the same, my bad if I missed it somewhere Mason and GTI. Help me find the limits for the lakes guys. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/pwdpubs/media/pwd_bk_v3400_0074.pdf

Livingston and one other alow 50 fish for the comercial boys but the length is 2" more at 14" I believe. I know a comercial fellow on livingston. Its a tough life. To make a living its a fish every day deal, rain or shine. As he said "I always wear my life jacket, It makes it easier to find the body. No need in the family not having closure"

I think it would be better to be a catfish-fishing guide if you want to make money. Thats just me. and ya I think some lakes like do, grapevine get over fished. But if your going to come down on him for wanting to be a commercial fishermen than yall should come down on the trotline & jug line fishermen to. YES YES I know its a lot of work but its still more of a harvest than a sport
