Cedar Hill at Joe Pool is good, but there are others as well - it just depends on how far you want to drive!

i stayed on Cherokee Landing off of Cedar Creek Lake during spring break. nice place, good folks, boat ramp, dock, etc, etc. everything you need. nice price if you want to pitch the tent.
even caught a nice 4.5 pounder right off the dock!!

Ray Roberts, 3 State Parks with some great camping facilities and some of the best fishing in the state.

Ray Roberts. The camp sites are great. If you get there early you can pick a good spot where you can fish and beach your boat from your site.

If you want to get out of the madhouse of DFW and have a bit of peace & quite, try Fisherman's Point Marina on Lake Richland Chambers. AWESOME fishing without the crowds. 75 miles South of DFW between Corsicana and Palestine on the 3rd largest inland lake in Texas. Check out the link on our website at www.gonefishin.biz .
