Pressure at 29.65 I"ll stay home on that ,I rarely catch fish below 29.80 I don't care what the day looks like .been there too many times.
But in my boat is much better than on my couch.

well I caught several fish yesterday with the barometer falling below and I caught fishing and so did everybody around me. I say if it is too windy to fish from boat find a few good fishng spots from the bank because I do just as good if not better fishing from the bank. It is also a good time to get some exercise while fishing and meet other people who like to fish!

My experience has shown that fish feed more actively as the barometric pressure is steady or rising steadily (between 29.90 and 30.40 inches), or fluctuating rapidly. Falling barometric pressure means that clouds & precipitation are likely. When a weather front is approaching (falling barometer) , such as the rain and wind we've had recently, it's more than likely the fish aren't going to bite. JMO, feel free to respond with why you have a better bite with a falling barometer.

I had to consult the handy dandy all knowing Taylor Fishing Guide fishing barometer on this one.

Looks like 29.90 is the magic number.

As for changing pressure, "Sudden fluctuation may indicate important trend. Beginning of pressure change usually finds fish active. When reading remains constant, bait should be fished deep."

There you have it cool.

If the conditions are safe, then go FISHIN! Wind up,
wind down, cold, hot raining, windy. Man , as long as
its safe, put'em in the bucket.
Thanks Bittercreek
