Nice catch, but what a waste of a great looking fish! I would have released it just my thought! Replicas now a day look even better than the real thing. I'm not bashing you for not releasing her, just giving my opinion.

Should of put her back for someone else to enjoy too.. No reason these days to keep big fish with the way replicas look! If someone would of kept her when she was 8-9 you wouldnt of had a chance to enjoy her! Just my two cents

Glad you are doing what you want to do with your hog. Very nice fish!
Flame me, but in my opinion (see my sig) there is too much trash talking about how people manage their fish:
* Don't let it touch the ground
* You are holding it wrong and hurting its jaw
* You hold them too far away from you to make them look bigger
* Don't keep bass
On and on and on... as long as the angler is following regulations then there is nothing to complain about. If there is a problem with the current regulations or a lack of regulations contact the TPWD/start lobbying to implement regulations such as no fish can touch solid ground, or no fish can be held solely by its jaw, or no bass larger than (insert weight here)lbs can be kept, etc
Again, nice fish...
My opinion is worth what you paid for it...
