 Looking to upgrade electronics.. What do you use?

What do you use?
Looking to upgrade beyond the basic grey scale Hummingbird fish finders.. gps/charting/etc
There is a lot out there these days but I don't want to spend more than around $800
I know that getting a good unit and learning how to use it could reduce the number of frustrating trips made to the lake.. thanks in advance to anyone with some advise.

If you're gonna spend that much, I'd go ahead and save up for an SI unit, or maybe try to buy a used one. I think if you didn't, you'd be kicking yourself later. Just my .02

I currently have a HB 432c I think, good unit, love it, but picking up one of the SIs in a couple months..

I also am looking at upgrading from a Lowrance LMS522Cigps to one of the new HD units that will support their new SI transponder. I am impatiently watching and waiting.

I run the Eagle FishElite 640C on my console. Color GPS/sonar unit with 640Vx480H pixel count. I have been very pleased with this unit, and will run you around $550 or so.

Stay with Lowrance or Eagle if your looking for a 2D unit.
