I caught a ladies purse on Lewisville a couple of weeks ago, had a lot of stuff in the purse like block buster cards, business cards, garage door opener, make up, and to top it off a big brick ! I think it was stolen and then ditched in the lake.

About 25 years ago I was fishing with two bother in laws on White Oak Creek in East Texas. We would tie the boat up crossways in the creek and since I was in the middle I was fishing the middle of the creek. They were tearing em up by the banks while I just watched. We got ready to change holes and I set my hook just for the fun of it and i snag something. It was big. Thought I would pull up a log but no, I caught a boot! Felt like one of the three stooges. I little later that day I finally got a real bite. I set the hook and this fish would fight,,,it just run left then right. Thought I had a carp except it wasn't fighting. Got it to the boat and my first fish of the day turned out to be a racoon skull i had hooked through the eye socket. My brother in law Steve just looked at me and laughed and asked me just what the heck I was using for bait. Still to this day I catch alot of greef over my fishingtrip that day long ago.

Had a watersnake hit a Rogue several years ago. He then immediately wrapped his body around the lure to constrict it. Tangled himself up in three treble hooks...it was a mess.
Caught a kite on a rattletrap about a week ago. Still had the string and tail on...!

Was fishing on the salado creek as a teen, hooked into something thought might be a big cat, got it to the surface knew right away it wasn't a fish. It was a tail, nearest I could tell, a horses tail, stunk really bad. I think that's the last time I fished the salado.
'Nother time me and a couple of my buddies were catfishing at night and one of them set his rod down to get something and a fish yanked his pole in. It kind of did the slow-motion sink as he tried to grab it. My other buddy threw out his hook to try and snag it. We were laughing at him 'cause we figured he didn't have a chance. Well about the fourth cast out he says, I hooked something. We figure he's lying but his pole has a bend in it. He keeps reeling and up comes the pole! He had hooked it through the top/last eye on the rod. We couldn't believe it! So my friend grabs his rod and starts reeling in the line. Then he says, hey there's something on here. Now we figure he's pulling our leg but his rod has a bend in it! He reels it in and there's a catfish on the hook!! We all just kinda' looked at each other then busted out laughing.
I tell that story to people from time to time and I never expect anyone to believe it 'cause I was there and I still don't believe it!

I caught a pretty nice lawn chair at Cedar Creek.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

when i was a young i set out to snag a frog the size of a small football sunning on a log on the opposite side of a creek my mother and i were fishing. i was determined and didn't listen and she was so upset when i caught him after a few casts and had to help me get the hook out.
my grandfather caught a pelican on a trotline once. i remember that pelican beating the hell out him while he fought to set it free.

...a buddy caught my brother's neck once...and there was a live crayfish on the hook, which then pinched my brother (about 8 at the time). We all laugh about it now, but he (my brother) was pretty pi$$ed at the time (after he stopped crying), because my buddy and I were laughing so hard that we could not help him out for a while.
I will never forget that.

While Jug fishing I caught a 10-11 ft alligator. We didn't put him in the boat so I guess that doesn't count. I did almost fall out the boat when he rose up out the water as we lifted the jug.
That's why they call it fishing and not catching!

While using a C-Rig around some boathouses on Lake Grapevine...a large, recently expired beaver. Now that's just ugly!

At the spill way at joe pool lake I caught a 10 speed bike off the bank. It was a little rusty but after a new chain it worked just fine.
