Went this morning, 8 am.- Castle Drive. 3 cars in the parking lot. Went to my favorite spot. Muddy as hell. Water dirty, but already clearing up. No one around. Lit up a Cohiba. Just a little quite time before work. Couple of casts with a white grub. Catch a couple of 12 inch whites. An older gentleman pops up outta nowhere. Asks if he can fish next to me ???? He should have asked, Do you mind if I fish on top of you? The whole F'ing creek is wide open, but he saw me catch fish and had to have "THE SPOT"... I sat down and watched him for a while as he cast his Mepps into the brush. Very relaxing...

If there was a gator in the creek I wouldnt worry too much about it...if did attack you by some chance it would be the very first reported gator attack in the state of Texas

Alligator...no most likely a nutrient or beaver. However there are alligators in Hubbard. They have been seen by many people and even filmed. So someday one may find his way up the creek. They are very shy creatures and do the best they can to stay away from activity.I would worry more about copperheads and cottonmouths.Oh and floating brown terds....

"When we get a lot of rain and floodwater, they get flushed out of their habitat," Capt. Garry Collins said. "They're all over that area, especially to the north between Hubbard and Lavon. They're just not real common for people to see. This is their natural habitat."

Yup..gators are everywhere around here...its when people feed them and they lose their fear for humans is when you worry..thats why you hear about em alot in Florida..cause people over there always feeding them..its even against the law now over there to feed a gator..pretty hefty fine...I used to live in Cocoa Beach Florida for a little while and saw them EVERYWHERE....seen one on Lavon and there was a 10 footer that was killed on lewisville..you can look it up on Youtube actually..someone filmed it right from their backyard!

True Story::: When I first moved here when I was around 16 years old I started fishing a Big Pond in Plano...its pretty long like a large creek..it runs for a few miles..You can access it at Preston @ Legacy and Preston @ Tennyson.....I was fishing a T-rigged worm and was walkin the banks...I got down to one area with quite a bit of grass/ moss and I couldnt believe my eyes..there was a 2 foot gator..just sitting there on the bank...I took the weight off of my worm and threw it out and slowly reeled it in next to it..and he actually took the bait...I hooked it right in on the side of his mouth..it was pizzzeed..I had to find a stick with a forked end to kind of pin it down and grabbed it by the neck to remove the hook. I let it go after that..someone here at my work actually lives at preston and Legacy and he said that hey had actually removed it

Leroy's bait in Wylie has an alligator that someone caught below Lavon RECENTLY. They keep it in a big minnow tank. They feed it dead minnows and goldfish. It is almost three feet long. Just a cute little baby gator. My son loves to go with me to get minnows, just to see the alligator. I'll post a pic after my next minnow run... Game Wardens are supposed to take it to one of the nature preserves. Rowlette Creek I think. Kidding- They are supposed to take it to an animal place in McKinney.
