every time out , I swear I am going to glue a small container to the head of my trolling motor to hold nibbles while I am fishing. I end up chasing the jar all over the deck.
Anybody have any better ideas ?

Just hold a few in your mouth to be handy...

When I use them, I don't hook them on individually. I get a smear of them on the seat/floor/rim of the boat and once in a while rub my jig in the stuff. Just wash it off at the end of the trip. If your boat is too pretty, you may have to find something else to keep it on, maybe a piece of wood or something.

CV uses a empty icebreakers mint jar with the flip lid. I need to get one too because it's a lot easier using that then the jar.

Good Idea, eliminates the worry about the nibble coming off. Someone also suggested keeping a jar of the liquid around and storing jigs in it.

I keep mine safe in a storage compartment somewhere. At least that's where they were last time I saw them 4 or 5 years ago. I keep the compartment locked though so no one will steal them. Would hate for Guy to need them and not have them.

I use a 35mm film cannister that I keep in my pocket. lid flips off easy. I tried a mint despenser but it is sort of a pain in the neck to get them in there the first time.
My big question is: is there an easy way to get the little buggers out of your boat carpet after you step on them!!!

I need to make a list of all you guys that get these little things in the carpet and everywhere else on the boat. Make sure you are not on the bad list if anyone ever gets in my backseat.

I just put them in the cup holder on the boat. It helps if they dry a little anyway, they stay on the hook better.

i just keep the jar in my pocket. When I need one, man ol mighty, there it is, right in my pocket. If they fall off the deck then I guess that I am in trouble because that means that I have gone overboard. No good.

I'm with Ernest. I've tried to use them but kept getting machine gun bites.
The best method I found was to jamb the whole nibble up inside of a hollow tube. You can do this at home so you have spares. It makes the nibbles last a long time.
Now I use them to chum for catfish. I really don't think they help.

I save the empty nibble bottles and use the lid. Pour a few nibbles into the lid and set it nearby. Also, keeps me from putting wet fingers in my bottle of nibbles.
If my boat had carpet, I'd get rid of it. LOL

I realized that Stucky has leaked my normal secret...thanks for nothing Stucky....
Anyway...really.... I've been there and done it when it comes to making the nibbles handy. I found long ago, that if I can't have easy access to the nibbles, then they are actually more hassle than they are worth.
Do yourself a favor...get some type of container with a pop-up lid (35mm film container is good, but the lid doesn't attach to it). Also, get something that has a big enough opening so easy picking.
I've found that the IceBreaker Mints round container has served well for the purpose. The lid is attached...and big enough for easy access, especially the sticky ones...It is readily in my pocket!!!
However, if you forget the leftover for a couple of months or so, you will end up with some rock-nibble to chump. Put it in a small ziplock if you don't plan to fish anytime soon.
On the plus side, if you happen to drop it overboard, it will float. Well, the wet and watery issue thereafter is another problem....You are on your own on this one...heheheheh...
Good luck!
