Ended up fishing a watermelon colored jib with a watermelon/red flake jig. Had a couple of bites in the shallows where its real sandy where the fish absolutly hammered the jig but didn't bite... I'm thinking possible the elusive turtlebass.

Several people out fishing... didn't see anybody catching anything.

Where is the 1378 pond y'all keep talking about? I drive that road all the time but I'm not sure where a pond is. Also, Knot at Work, which golf course has a good pond? I'm trying to find a pond that has a few bass in it for me to catch but also something that has some small stuff for my daughter to catch as well. Thanks for anyone's help.

Almost ANY golf course pond has good fishin'!! you just gotta find the ones that are lenient enough to let you fish lol

Well, well well gentleman. Looks like you guys have been catchin a bit while I was away. The old man got sick and had to get some surgery, so I was up in the Great White North for a while. But I am back in sunny Texas just in time to start fishing again...Knot, I need a detailed report as to where I can go and catch anything immediately. And if you meet me out there I will guarantee we'll catch a buzz...us and my good BuddyWeiser cheers

1378 was pretty good to me on Friday. This was the best and had one small one. Didn't fish for very long but couldn't believe how high the water level was after the rains a week ago.

I was using a Wave Worm 5" Tiki Stick chartruese / green pumpkin swirl. I threw out a few other things in my tackle bag but these were the only things I had luck with. I even tried the juebug color of the same worms and didn't get a nibble.

Sorry bringing up such an old one, but I was reading through some posts on this pond to see if anyone had similar experience...sure enough. I was at 1378 this morning and caught a nice size one. There was a construction crew putting in the lights on the lamp posts and they literally stopped what they were doing and drove to my side of the pond, got out, and got quite aggressive on why I was throwing the fish back in the pond and not offering the fish to them. Couldn't believe it, they stuck around for a few more casts and I'm glad I didn't catch one or I might have been mugged.

The sprinklers came on and I left. Water is waaay up.
