I see these at Academy and Walmart but have not bought any. Doing ok with small spinners and jigs.

Just wondering.....do they catch crappie???

There ok. I know some people that really like em. I know one guide in particular on here that wont dip a line without them. I think the idea is that it can not possibly hurt.

Yep, usually when I can't get any crappie to bite my jig, i put a nibblet on the hook and that tends tof get them more interested. In my oponion they work best when fished under a cork with a jig presentation.

Here is my take, for what it is worth. I don't think in any way that they "hurt". So........if I'm fishing a tourney, why not. If I'm fishing day to day, maybe, maybe not.

I like to use them when the fish have lock jaw, they tend to work for me. If the action is constant, I prefer to leave them in the tackle box. It takes too much time putting a nibble on after every catch. I would rather save them for another day.

I have fished and the bite turns off and put on a nibblet and the bite starts up done it many times to prove it to myself.I keep about 5 to 10 jigs in a half empty jar so they absorb the scent .Presentation and location are key but scent is also a key in my opinion.Darrell

Dang good idea Darrell keeping a few jigs in the nibble jar. Never thought of that.

Keep on fishing.

I usually catch the same amount of fish without them as others that do. I'm sure it doesn't hurt but it is not for me.

Confidence is the most important thing when it comes to fishing IMO...Use what you are confident in...If you have more confidence when using nibbles then you will be more productive when using them...

And vice versa...

I've never used them, but a guide I know who doesn't use live bait uses them with good luck. It doesn't cost much to try!!! thumb
