why do yo uwanna catch a mud fish ? cant eat them ! they do fight pretty good ! but they also tear up your tackle ! Its all about the FIGHT my man! I talked to a guy on Tawak the other day that has caught two of them this year....said they can really turn and burn when they get hooked. I want to catch one - a big one. ....Saw posts about one caught at Rowlette and another at Tawak. Anybody that goes looking for them...or knows what to look for to find them....please let me know. Thanks!

i see a lot when wading for crappie.... i try to avoid them due to they will frey your line and distroy lures with thier teeth. they usually look just like a log in the water and rarley move around waiting for somthing to swim by. they will eat whatever you put in thier face if you spot one. i have only caught about a dozen or so in my career.... below is a site that might help you out a bit. http://www.bowfinanglers.com/bowfininfo.html

That's the one! Thanks T-Fly. I knew I read that on one of your posts for Rowlette. I couldn't find it again - that Rowlette thread has so many pages that I didn't want to look back through all of them for that website.
I will now proceed to catch one of these mothers. I will post a picture shortly...be prepared. Be very prepared. It will be the most majestic bowfin of all time...
Whell..Bye
