CT and I fished the McDonalds tourney last year on Fork during hurricane Ike. Weather reports called for 60-70 mph winds. We stayed in a couple of protected coves, but it was still hard to deal with at times.

On the bank about 20-30 at Purtis Creek right before a huge storm
In a boat about 15 on Lewisville 2 years ago. Each tournament was called whenever it was stronger

Sustained 30 with gusts to 45+ on Purtis Creek 3 years ago - not fun but great fishing and no big mean waves to have to navigate. Although the were some rollers approaching 1.5' going up the cut at the island...
the fisherman formerly known as Blu-Ranger....

40mph sustained all day @ Lake Hudson in Okla. 3 boats in our tourney sank that day. Tournament should have been rescheduled.

Got caught on Buchanan 10 years ago 25-35mph winds. I was on the north end near Tow when it hit. I had to croos the lake back to Lakeview Lodge near the dam. That was a scarey ride in the Ranger. Winds blowing,,,I'm not launching.
Catch em, kiss em, let em go

40+ for me, on Texoma. The motor started sucking air from coming out of the water. Acted like it was in neutral for a little bit and wouldn't go forward. I was sure we were going to be crashing on the rocks
