Got to the bank at around 7-730pm, fished for 2 hours, caught 26 total, with 5 keepers, all over 13". this one was the big'un of the day at 16" 1.65lb, all fish caught in 6-18" of water on dark colored jigs. The eggs arent quite ready to drop, so they are just starting to move in, all the males caught were real dark throwbacks, and all the females were hogs full of eggs, but like I said, they aren't ready to drop 'em quite yet, I think they are still waiting for the water to get a little bit warmer. the date on this pic is wrong, just didnt know how to change it lol.

By end of this week, I suspect the spawn will be much better. I took Anthony out last Thurs. afternoon for a scouting trip hoping we would get into some of them. All prime real estate areas (Anthony's way of calling the awsome spawning covers) have enough water, but they weren't in yet.
As of Sat. evening, some small ones are beginning to show up shallow at Lynn Creek walk way, 6' docks, and various structures.
Water temp is looking good. Water level is still low, but fine for the most part.

The best is yet to come!!!

Been doing fair to good on JP myself...hit any decent creek with a full spectrum of jig colors and you all can do same.

Here are two of my 5 keepers,I also tossed back about 10 from 9 to 9.75 inches and I also notice the dark green colors. Also been getting some Black Crappie as well as Whites too.

Fickle fish they are, Friday past,I and my Crappie Jiggin' mentor actually caught 49 keepers with about a half dozen hawg bellies between 1 lb,12 oz and 2 lb,4 oz(Digital fish scale not a estimate) my buddy has those pics and aint sent them to me or Id post those as it was our best outing in last 2 weeks. We tossed back easily 2 to one the first half of the day.
Hoping this front moving in doesnt mess it up too bad ,I'll be there anyways as my girl loves Crappie!
