here's the latest from the marina: http://www.navarromillslake.com/Fishing_Report.html

Navarro Mills Lake - Updated 3/19/09
Water Temperature 64 degrees, Water Visibility 6"
3 inches Below Normal

CRAPPIE - FAIR to GOOD
The crappie seem to have adjusted to the new water. So far this week, three 2 lb+
crappie have been caught with the largest weighing 2.56 lbs, see photo
on Catch of the Day. Fishermen are having equal success with jigs
(blue/white, orange/white) and live minnows.

CATFISH - VERY GOOD
Catfish have been very active around the stickups in 3-4 feet of water. One fishermen
filled his livewell, see photo on Catch of the Day. He used sour maize and cheese bait.

They have not moved back to the marina in numbers. I was there all day yesterday, not many caught. There were a few big ones caught and several small ones. But, in no way expect to go there and catch enough for dinner much less fill your basket. The marina was full of people of course with spring break and the park full of campers. Lots of boats out there. The water is clearing up nicely from all the mud after the rain.

I am headed out from now on in the boat again, wind has been calmer and lake levels up and way too many people at the banks and marinas for me. rolfmao

Went to Navarro this morning. I guess the east winds gave them lock jaw. Caught a couple small ones aand thays it. Talk with a lot of people who were camping there all week, they say they killed them yesterday but NOTHING today. Just my luck.
