The past 2 nights, my 2 nephews and 4 of their friends fished Granger at night from the bank using live & dead minnows and literally slayed the crappie! Both nights, they brought home not quite their bag limit, but in excess of 100. They were keeping 11" or better. They also managed to knock the white bass for a loop during the day and hauled some fairly decent cats off of 1 trotline (15lb flathead, 2 blues 16-18lbs, and a smattering of channels).
They were using bobbers fishing about 18" deep in about 4-5' of water.

Curious if you happen to know if they were fishing the river or the lake?
Thanks and tight lines...

They were fishing the river and again, 3 of them last night brought home 74 crappie (11'-16" was largest) and a couple handfuls of white bass. All caught on seined minnows, sunfish and little crawfish!

The River has slowed but the fishing is really hot in Willis Creek.....I heard from a guy that they were just knocking them out...limits all around. I think they were fishing at night with those glow light bobber things.

Buddy of mine in Austin has gone to Granger 3 straight evenings this past week and said he nearly limited out each day on minnows.
Saw some nice pics of his catch.
They're starting to spawn on some of D/FW area lakes now too. Water temp coming up.
