This report is based on years of fishing both Millwood lake, and Wright Patman.

I fished millwood Tuesday and it was very poor.

Millwood is usually a day or two behind Wright Patman. Millwood is about 40 +- miles north of WP.

OK, I fished wright patman yesterday,3/19, did not boat a keeper Crappie.

We (2) fished WP today (3/20) ended up with 44 really nice big BLACK male crappie. We weighed 14 and each was over 2#.

If everthing (temp & rain) is reasonable, Millwood will be perfect next weekend.

I hope to see yall folks from Big D area and see if yall can cook crappie and tell tall tales at the same time.

Not sure about the cooking part, but I can sure eat crappie and tell tall tales.

Thanks for the report Gene.

I just hope it's not windy next weekend. We'll find the big fish if we can fish the main lake.

As of now the winds are suppose to be light, but it might change by then. I hope it doesn't.

I hope this rain that is predicted doesn't cool off the water to much and shove them back out of the shallow water.
2 lb. males sounds awful good.

I was thinking the same thing, but this time it shouldn't be as bad (or so I hope). Last time it poured for 3 days with highs in the 30's, this time it is suppose to rain with highs in the 70's. I hope it doesn't mess with the spawn up there.

Weather is looking wet for Millwood Tuesday through Friday. I wonder what it will do to the fish.

40% rain thursday
20% rain friday
40% rain saturday
0% rain subday

Bummer

Although we need the rain everywhere. Don't need it this week @ Millwood. Been looking forward to some Millwood crappie. See ya Friday Anthony. I'll give you a buzz later. Sure they don't let you have your cell phone in school.

Hey Gene, what's the color of jig choice up there @ Millwood? Gotta put an order in with Matthew.

Well I guess I'm too tight to use matthews jigs. I use bobby garland 2" shad black/chartruese, chartruese/chartruese, I guess something w/chartruese.

we also use slab slayers and crappie stingers.
