This may sound stupid. I spent $10 about 6 times at Lake Lewisville in a month to launch my boat and decided to find the boat ramp at the south side of Old Dallas dam because it was protected from south winds and it was a Corps of Engineers park. You can buy a Corps of Engineers pass there good till Feb of next year and get in to fish or launch a boat at any Corps park in the U.S. The pass is $30, it's plastic coated & you hang it on your rear view mirror . I think most texas lakes have a Corps park. Wish I knew this before blowing $60. bang

$10 to launch...man that's outrageous!!! I will no longer complain about the $3 launch fees I pay.

I never fished LL till this winter. The park by the lewisville dam charged me $10. Joe Pool is 10 or $12 but now I can use the pass to launch at the park by cedar hill or britin park. Grapevine Twin Coves park I think is a Corps park so I can go there no to launch. The $30 has already paid for itself.

The pass is the way to go, we get one every year, pays for itself after a couple outings

Good info, I buy the state park pass every year but may have to give this one a look.

That's why they call it fishing and not catching!

I have a TPWD (Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept.) that I bought for $60. It's good for 1 year and I don't pay anything for parking on any state park in Texas. I also get discounts for camping and other benefits. Just this Crappie season, I have made back my $60, and then some.
