Official tournaments start Wednesday March 11, 2009 and run threw September.
Times will be 6pm to 8:30pm every Wed.
$30 a boat $10 optinal side pot
5 fish limit 14" on all fish
I will have a full rule sheet for everyone at the tournament.
This year we will also be doing a point system to track the anglers of the year. The top three teams at the end of the year will have there entry paid at the championship. A team will be allowed 2 alternants for the season. I will have the point system for you guys at the first tournament.
This will be a fun year again.
Official Lake Worth Tournament 2009 Rules
1. These Rules apply to all entrants of this tournament. Violation of any of these rules will warrant appropriate disciplinary action by the Tournament Director. Any protest must be received in writing and signed within fifteen minutes of tournament end time to be taken literally. Tournament Director decisions will be final in all matters. Acts of Nature can affect these rules. 2. State, Federal, and Local Laws must be obeyed. 3. Courtesy, Safe Boating, Sportsmanship and Conservation must be displayed at all times by contestants. A U.S. Coast Guard approved chest type PFD must be on and fastened anytime the combustion engine is in gear. All boats must meet U.S. Coast Guard standards. 4. All fishing must be done with artificial lures only. Pork is permitted. Only one rod and reel may be used at a time by contestants. No trolling with the combustion engine is allowed. All fish must be caught in a legal and sporting manner during tournament hours from tournament waters. A dip net may be used to land hooked fish. Contestants may not use any communication or video device for the sole purpose of locating or catching bass during tournament hours. Tracking devices inserted in bass may not be used by any contestant during or before the tournament. Hole-Sitting by or for entrants is not allowed. 5. Lake Worth is off limits for competitors from sunup on the day of the tournament until the tournament begin time. The only exception to this rule is launching boats prior to the tournaments start. 6. Teams or Individuals may keep no more than faive (5) bass in the live well. Culling must be done immediately after catching the sixth keeper bass. 7. Ranking will be determined by the total weight of not more than five (5) bass per Team meeting the designated size requirements. Fish will be measured on the Tournament Directors measuring board with the tail closed. Ties for cash prizes will be settled by combining two cash awards and splitting the total between tied anglers and points will be awarded equally. 8. No fishing is allowed within 25 yards of another tournament boat without mutual consent. No tube, bank, or wade fishing is allowed. 9. Trailering to and from the weigh-in during tournament hours is not allowed, unless permitted by the Tournament Director for safety or emergency reasons. All fishing must be from a previously inspected boat. 10. No more than two persons per boat. All persons in a boat must be a registered contestant. 11. Registration must be made at take-off site prior to tournament beginning unless other arrangements have previously been made by the Tournament Director. Boats may launch at a ramp other than the host boat ramp and arrive at the host boat ramp via water. Blast-off will be done in a shotgun format initiated by the Tournament Director. 12. Upon entering this fishing tournament, contestants release Tournament Director and all assisting individuals and sponsors from liability of accidents, losses or thefts. Contestants are responsible for knowing and understanding these rules. 13. Penalties: There will be a 1/2 (.5) pound penalty deducted for each dead fish weighed-in. There will be a one (1) pound penalty deducted for any fish not meeting the 14 minimum length limit brought to the scales, plus a loss of same fish. Tournament Boats must be off pad and near the host boat ramp at the scheduled end time of tournament or contestants forfeit weight of their entire catch. This is ruled upon under the discretion of the Tournament Director. 14. Championship qualification is earned by fishing at least one regular season tournament throughout the season. 15. Yearly Point Standings will be determined by a points system. This system is shown at the end of this document for a per tournament basis. Should a team fail to weigh in a fish, they will receive points equivalent to one place below the last team to weigh fish. If a team is disqualified for any reason during a tournament, they also forfeit any points for that tournament. If a member of a team is not able to be present for a tournament, a substitute for that member of the team will be allowed up to two (2) times during the regular season. One team member must be present to receive points for his/her team. It is also acceptable that one member of a team fishes alone to receive points for his/her team as many times as is necessary. Team members may not fish in separate boats for points. No substitutions will allowed for the end of the season Championship Tournament, although one team member may fish alone for his team if the other is unable to attend. Following the last regular season tournament of the 2009 season, points totals will be calculated. The highest twenty (20) scores from tournaments for each individual team will be used for scoring. Should a team fish more than twenty events in the 2009 season, their lowest points finishes will be dropped until 20 finishes remain. If a team does not fish at least twenty events, no lowest points finishes will be dropped. The three top finishers as calculated by points will receive free entry into the end of the season Championship Tournament. Other prizes may also be awarded on rank in points system. 16. Tournament Director or person(s) appointed by him have ANY and all final say in matters not thoroughly laid out in these rules. The Tournament Directors decisions are final and once handed down cannot be appealed in any form.

On a side note. My partner fished on Worth Sunday and noticed several boats in the off limits area around the Air Force Base. This area is clearly marked with bouys. It extends from the creek next to the run way east all the way to the high fence. Again this is clearly marked with bouys and is OFF LIMITS during any of our tournaments on Lake Worth. The bouy line down by the dam is also off limits to boats during tournament hours. You will be ticketed if caught in these areas so stay out. You can cast into any off limits areas but the boat must not cross the boundry. If you are caught in these areas with your boat during the tournament YOU WILL BE DISQAULIFIED!! Thanks, Shayne Ward

The buoys next to the runway define the off limits area.
However near the base docks is legal to fish as long as no one ties up to the docks, beaches their vessel, or gets off their boat onto base property unless they have proper military identification.
This is referenced with speaking to base PMO 5 mins ago

Haven't got a partner or I'd come donate. I just would rather donate only half the entry fee. Anyone need a place in the back of my boat?
