I've tried a couple spots along Denton Creek but all I've gotten was a few sunfish and some mean looking creek turtles. Any places where anyone has had better luck? Any creek in DFW. Thanks.

Everybody is talking about Rowlett Creek. Go over to the posting dedicatated to that. Tarponflt posted the directions to it on either page 44 or 45.

There is a creek between Lewisville and Coppell, off of the "new" 121(look for Lake Vista Drive). There is a park called Vista Ridge Athletic complex. There is good access through the park. The creek is wide and a bit shallow there but if you walk down the creek to the east(southeast) the creek narrows and gets deeper. I have caught a lot of very nice cats there a few years ago. I am in Waco now and haven't fished there since I moved. I also chummed and fished right next to the dock in the park for carp and did really well. The creek doesn't really look like much but, man, there are some big fish in that creek. I caught quite a few catfish near 20#(with shad) and carp up to 14#(boilies). No idea what the name of the creek is.

Anybody in that area that can't tell us the name of that creek?

If you follow it upstream...you'll find that it's the one that comes out of Grapevine Lake...aka Denton Creek (unless the name changes below Grapevine)

No fish is too good for the grease.
