Opinions please. I am looking at a Craigslist ad for a 1988 Suncruiser Motorhome by Itasca. The seller claims "18mpg on a Ford motor with John Deer parts". I think he means 8 mpg, but what do I know? Do any of you know?
Please do not hesitate to answer as I am getting the RV itch. Some one needs to bring me to my senses.
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.... W.C.Fields
I know a little about a lot of things but not a whole lot about anything....CGD

18mpg....that's funny! I'd say he needs a math course or a new calculator.
Would tell him you'll pay him double for the coach if it can produce 15mpg. Anything less than 12 and you get it free.
8-9 is probably about right.

I would offer to pay for a full tank of fuel, and if it hits 13MPG you will pay cash on the spot, if it doesnt, he will reimburse you for fuel, and sell it to you for a dollar.
Diesel's dont get that kind of mileage. If a diesel isnt getting it, a gasser wont ever get it.

I have a 2006 winnebago 32' with a V-10 and I'm getting arounf 12 to 13 mpg. Pulling my 23' boat it drops down to 9 to 10 mpg.

I also agree. I don't think so. My 35' Discovery Class A gets 8-9.
