what does the 13 mean on my prop size 13x19p I know the 19 is the pitch. Also would a yamaha prop fit a mercury motor if the sizes are the same?

Yellowcat is right 13 is the Diameter. 19 is the theoretical distance it will travel in water. Som yamaha will be interchangable, but you might ask Steve@scp more.. I am sure he will prob chime in.

i would bet it's not interchangeable. What motor are you putting a prop on?

if the prop has the same number of splines and same size shaft i would think it would work.
you need to ask Steve in the boats/motors section
Justin 63lb, 2 58lb, several 40's, 38lb, and several 20lb yellas.

Yellowcat has a good suggestion. Count the splines on your propshaft and then count them inside the prop. I'm betting they wont match, but you never know.

you usually go down 1-2 in pitch as the SS prop will not flex like the aluminum one, however, you still have to lake test to be sure.

13 is the diameter ,19 being the pitch ,that means for every revolution the boat theoretically should move 19 inches , however thats impossible because every prop looses a little due to slip, thats why you pay steve to get the slip rate down as low as possible

i usually stay the same pitch on those engines, and just raise the mota one mounting hole.
the sst prop can be run higher than an alum. prop due to blade flex.
