The left tire on my trailer vibrates a lot. It shook the upright on that side loose, even cracking the weld that held it in place. Tire wear is fairly even though and I had the wheel balanced too. Maybe a bent spindle or the axle slipped or something. Anyone know a place in NW Dallas area that could take a look?

if you need a axle go to southwest wheel theyre pretty reasonable , have you checked for excessive play in the hub , jack it up and check

Did not find play in the hub. And I measured carefully the distance from center tread to center tread, front and back and couldn't measure a difference.

Check for a bent rim. Very common on trailers. Hitting curbs on tight turns like drive throughs will do it.

Yeah, I'd check the wheel. If the axle were bent, it still wouldn't wobble. It would just run untrue.

Had the same problem. Ended up being a bent rim. I'd been backing my boat over a curb at an angle to get it in my side yard. You could also see the uneven tread wear. Replaced the rim and all was fine.

Thanks for the responses. I lifted it today and spun the wheel. Looks like it is okay, but not sure. I pulled hub and repacked the bearings, replaced seal and checked it all out. Put it back together with the spare on. Seems to have the same vibration, but I did'nt get it up to highway speed. I am taking the reg tire/wheel to a shop to have it spin balanced and checked for true. If that isn't it, I guess I am looking a spindle or axle alignment.
