Just wondering if anyone uses the H20 line of fishing reels from Academy? Im now the proud owner of 2 of the H20 meetle baitcasters and after fishing the curado for years I do have to say this reel gives the curado a damn good run for its money at a real affordable price!

I had one a while back. I loved it, sold it to a guy on here, for some extra cash for this semester. Im getting another this saturday, because I miss having a backup.

I have one, only used it a few times, but seems to be a really good reel for the money. I have the silver one. I'm not crazy about the black ones, the handles are loose on every display I have looked at and not sure how they tighten up. I'm of the opinion the silver ones are the best and they are only about 50 bucks.

Thanks, Billy

they need to make a 5:1 and 7:1, then they would dominate!!

the only draw back is when one brakes it is hard to get parts for it down the road, but they are good reels they cast real nice.Like bps reels after a few years you go to order parts they dont make the parts anymore or the reel

A friend of mine has one and wants to know how to get the side plate off to adjust the brakes.

Great reels, but you might want to wait on buying them. I talked to a fishing manager at academy and he said they have some new ones coming soon that are suppose to be even better but still reasonable priced. They are also suppose to have different gear options.

Push the button in and slide the side plate in a downward swinging motion. Its in the booklet.

And for the record, I did end up getting another H20 reel this one is just as good as the last. I can cast this badboy for days.

I have 2 Marauds and they are smooth reels. I haven't had any handle issues either.
