I wouldnt confront someone with a weapon in the middle of the woods. No,I would not. Thats what makes a game wardens job so tough Some people carry guns when they are driving down the road. How do you know that the guy fishing next to you doesn't have one also? Think with your brain, not your balls.

Good job reporting the guy. If he was really fishing for food for his family why wouldn't he work instead to buy food for them. I love fishing but their are times when keepers are just not caught and if I was desperate for food then the obvious answer is work.

you cant even debate anything without getting vulgar A regulation is not up for debate, at least not once it is approved and in place. Law is law, it is your choice whether you abide by it or not...those that do not, can suffer the consequences.

Hum I have read the whole thread...If you look the other way once then why not all the time for anything...the law is the law....I have seen a lot in my life and yes I have called the law many times but I have not for fishing or hunting but would. If we look the other way you are condoning it. I try teach my kids right from wrong and if I let one person that is breaking the law get away with it and my kids see that then what lesson are they learning....I'm not perfect just try to do the right thing

The thing I meant about stretching fish is that everybodys done it....not that I am the only person that has ever done it. Are you gonna say you never stretched one to try to get it to 10. I think everbodys done it. Stretching fish? What the heck? How do you stretch a fish? No I don't do it because I don't want to pay the fine associated with keeping small fish PERIOD!!!!! The whole fishing for food line might would work for me if he had 30-40 bream in his bag. No, all he had was crappie. When your hungry you go for easy not quality. If you ever look at the fish in a 5-gal bucket that some old lady that's bank fishing. They will keep a 3 inch bream and by golly there gonna eat it or use it to try to catch a big ole catfish. I can't tell you how many times I have given a couple of fish to someone bank fishing that I think deserves and/or needs it. This guy knew it was wrong because he lied about it and deserved a ticket for every one of them. IMO

If you are "stretching" your fish to make them legal size, I can guarantee that if you are checked, the good ol Game Warden ain't gonna stretch them. He will say... look at these undersized fish in your possession. TICKET.
Also, if you are aware of a fishing or hunting violation and you don't report it, you might as well sit down and keep a few small ones yourself or hold the spotlight. I will make the call everytime... it is far to easy to do the right thing....

It amazes me how many whistle blowers are on the forum for something so stupid. I'm sure all you guys moaning always get corp. approval when you put stucture into the lake. Not! Hey rules are rules! Its one thing if you see him constantly out there keeping small fish but to call the game warden the first time is pretty chicken sh--. I dont keep illegal fish but I do build brush piles and dont get corp. approval. DOes it make me a bad person? Maybe so I feel like sometimes people like to judge other people so they can feel better about themselves.
Just my thoughts
