I think it's still too low. Though I haven't been out there in a while, and maybe this rain has changed things (but I doubt it). I think we still need more rain before that place heats up, I could be wrong though.

Water very low, not sure of the conditions after the rain we are getting. Went down 2 weeks ago and walked nearly all the way to the lake to find a deep hole and fish. No sandies to speak of. Switched tactics and caught 5 keeper channel cats off of worms. Hopefully the rain gets the sandies going and maybe a hybrid or two as well. Nothing like a hybrid caught on ultra-light!

Tks man..I had to add this topic in here cause I havent read anything on this forum about this area ( whisky flats )....
Have you guys ever fish the river coming out of the spillway from Benbrook though the golf course?? I use to walk through the golf course about a mile or less to a small cement wall or spillway that went across the river and catch many Sandies and Bass also a few hybrid...I havent been there in years also....Just a little hidden spot I use to know...LOL

I have caught a few sandies out there as well as some huge cats. Also seen people slay carp there as well. Good lil spot. I have not been down that way in a while though. I would like to now how people are doing there.

The white bass are still in the main lake. We checked it out yesterday. See quit a few fishermen fishing for them, but no one was catching anything at the time. Except one ol boy had a nice stringer of catfish. Hopefully by the weekend the white bass will start there spawning run.

I went down there today and the water level was higher than it was a couple of weeks ago but not high enough and flowing back into the super low lake. I went further down 377 and took a left on 1187 and went to "Rock Creek" where i could actually SEE the fish but still caught nothing!!! I fished with minnows, dough bait and alot of different artificials but they just weren't interested!!! We will need alot more rain before we get the good fishing back at west fork / whiskey flats
