Who makes the finest top end rods? I rank them in this order, Loomis, St. Croix, Kistler, Carrot Stix, Falcon

If you're talking about high-end off the shelf rods, Loomis, no question. I have several custom built rods with Loomis blanks as well.

For you guys that say Loomis, what is it about them that makes you like them so much?
I'm a GL fan, myself. Just curious what makes you folks like them so much.

ive only fished 1 loomis, and it was a cheap loomis (do those words go together?) so i dont think it was the BEST rod ive fished. having not ever had their high end rod in my hand i would rank kistler first with the thought that it could easily be knocked off.

Sensitivity and accuracy, light as a feather, especially when you balance them with butt weights.

I opt for custom made rods with high end blanks.
I can customize them to my specs.

I think you forgot one, all hand made right here in East Texas CastAway Skeleton Series price range from $140's to $300  Hi-modulus and multi-modulus blanks, wide range of components, including titanium, all individually hand made, each blank splined before being built, the skeleton is as light and sensitive as it gets. Go to the factory for a tour you cannot help but to be impressed.

Power Tackle, Waterloo, Megabass and Daiwa Steez are all better than those you mentioned in the first post.
