I have never had a problem, I did forget my license one time and got a ticket that was dismissed at lake fork.

It seems like I attract the bad GW's but last friday I was on Bedias Creek fishin and was checked by a friendly and polie GW. I always try to be friendly and respectful to all GW's but I was rude to one last year. He ask for my license and I was a little too slow in finding it in my wallet and he didn't like this. I did find the license and handed it to the GW but I had not unfolded it all the way. He leaned over and dropped the license in my boat and told me to pick it up and unfold it and give it back to him. I told him if I pick it up it will go back in my wallet. He then wanted to measure all my fish so I handed him my Golden Rule . He told me to put it away that I had compromised it and he would use his Golden Rule. Needless to say that upset me. He then started to empty my livewell by throwing the fish on the floor of my boat. I told him lets put the fish in a milk crate I had and he said he was doing it his way and for me to step back before we had a problem. I told him we would have a problem if he didn't put the fish back in the livewell when he was finished. In the meen time I had waved to a couple of friends to come over and they watched what was going on and this upset the GW. He did put the fish back in my livewell. This is the same GW that will write you a ticket if you don't have a life jacket out and accessible. Overall I have met some really nice GW's and I know they have a job to do. I also talked to some retired GW's at a fishing show and they told me the biggest complaint is the young GW's need to chill out some. i have been checked a couple times and never had an issue. i know for a fact i never was checked by this guy. smartest thing you did maybe.... was to wave over a witness and cool this gw down some. would be nice if this barney fight sounding gw be taken off the water and maybe given late night duty to watch for thieves with all the boat vandalism going on....

Got checked today at Conroe. He seemed to be a nice guy. All my stuff was current, but my dad had let his lic. expire. He went to buy one when I got my new boat, but their machine was having difficulty and they said they couldn't do it at that time. I think he then forgot about it until today.. The GW was real nice and said it happens, but was going to issue a citation. I have no problem with it and either did pops. He has only lived here for three years and isn't used to the Aug. 31st thing. I think in MI the lic. are year from purchase. Either way my dad caught a 4lb (probably 100 dollar or more bass today).

Me too, at Mustang. Passed all questions and inspection. He was super polite and seemed to not have a problem about his power. MOST of the time this has been my experience. Maybe the few problem game wardens are trying to project and generate respect, but it is not respect a bad attitude generates..with me anyway.. They have a hard, dangerous job, however and I appreciate it.

just got checked for the first time at canyon lake this weekend. was out with breaking in my new motor for my jon boat when she stopped me. ask how many fish in the boat and explain no fishing, just running around for a bit. i think she believed me when she saw my rod laying with nothing tied on a my nephews spider man rod next to my brother in law who was with me. she checked my registration and took off.

We were anchored and crappie fishing years ago at Oak Creek. We watched 2 GW's in one boat check a pontoon full of young folks and it took a long time, guess they were writing tickets. After they cut them lose, The GW's were coming our way. I was watching and noticed a guy on the 'toon "moon" them, humm... A GW saw it too! They made a U-turn lights flashing and went around a corner, so I don't know what happened. All my encounters have been good.

After the GW's cut them loose, they pontoon motors back by us, saying the GW's were a bunch of Nazi's, etc. As soon as that guy mooned the GW's, he flipped on his lights and took off. The mooner sat down and tried to become as small as possible. The GW's passed them, they were responding to a possible boat accident at the boat ramp. That day I was warned because I did not have a throwable cushion in my boat.
Waiting on Bob Davis' next selfie

Well they need to be down at the Neches river on Hwy.31 out of Chandler. So they can take care of all the Damn Mexicans with throw nets on the SandBass. It makes me sick to see this. I wish those people would just head south and stay there (FOREVER)

You can see them using cast nets below the dam at Livingston. I had a GW give me his card and said if I take a picture or if I see them loading there car with too many fish to call him and he will bust them down the road. He said he would not bust them there but wait for them to go down the road . He also said he would give me a number and I would get 10% of the fine that they charge.I am now making sure I have my digital camera with me at all times and his phone number. Hey maybe this way I can get some new tackle for free.
