Just for kicks, guys, here's the forecasted rain totals for the next 5 days! Widespread rains of 2-5 inches all over north and central texas. What a blessing this will be if we actually get it...

I don't live for the thump, but I sure do like it.

I hope we get that or more that would really help the lakes. I just don't like what the cold front associated with it will do to the spawn. At least we will get something good out of it (rain).

The fishing will come back in about 7-10 days when it warms back up though, until then BRING ON THE RAIN!!

I am gonna be in Northern Indiana tomorrow with a 100% chance of rain right now. It's flooding up there!

I remember last year the weather really messed with the spawn and we were catching fish in June with eggs. I hope this year they all get to release their eggs and make many crappie!

We use HPC for guidance, but they can overdo it sometimes. I do not believe we'll see 5-6" rain totals across E TX...but maybe more like 2-4" totals by the end of the week, maybe some localized higher amounts E of D/FW. And that's being optimistic.

Still, any rain doesn't hurt this drought, or the lakes!
