65lb for me, would like to see it in large spools. Only thing around here is just 300 yard spools. And when I restring, I restring all of them (10 for catfishing and 8 for saltwater- the saltwater gets nothing but mono though, the big stuff!). This is my first experience with braid and so far I am enjoying it, I used some electrical tape as backing instead of mono so the stuff would grip it and is working so far so good. But have not tied into a big one yet with it.

Prefer PowerPro yellow 30#, I know the question was 150 or 300 yd but, 1500yd for price 300 for convenience.

First there will be NO line slipage on the spool. It will greatly reduce the dreaded "Line Burying" that can happen with some braids. And finally it cuts down on the cost of spooling a reel. I go thru lots of line. I will either respool or "reverse" my line atleast once every two months on all my reels. When i say reverse, i unspool all my line down to mono backing into a bucket. Then I dump the bucket over and pick up end of the line that was towards the terminal tackle before. When i respool all the line, what was once inside the reel is now out in the water and what was in the water is now tied to the mono.

Hmmm, interesting. Why exactly do you do this (reversing) if you don't mind me asking? Does it help the line to last longer?

Some anglers will never use the bottom third of the spool so reversing it is like putting new line in the water I guess, never done it personally. FishHauler if you want to reverse it just unspool one reel and then reel directly from one reel to the other, REVERSED. Also I realize not the thread SORRY but, to keep the dreaded line buring I roll the first 70 yards as tight as I can when I reel it off of the spool.

Oh yeah, The only time I have really had the prob with line burrying was with 20lb spiderwire, so i do not know if it was cuz of how small it was or not. I was trying to drift water that was pretty deep with 1oz of lead and small bait so I needed small line. I do know that when i put the mono backing it will not burry. I also use a "shock leader" with my braid so line color is just for my visibilty.

I like the Microfused Braid, it flouresence at night under blacklight. It is larger diamater than the other braids, so it dosent cut in the spool as bad on the biger fish. The only complaints I have against it are it are I have only found it in 30#, and it does have a tad of memory, Not nearly as much as mono, but some. If it was available in 50# it would be my first choice. The Cajun Braid in red is another larger diam line that I like, Maby beter than the microfuse braid, I just dont like the Red for night fishing.
