I was throwing a dropshot during the BPS Grapevine series, when I set the hook, and started counting big bass money in my head. Then this came to the boat. I was told it is a smallmouth buffalo, I'll take their word, I had never caught one before.

I can only imagine how you must've felt whenever you realized it wasn't a bass.....man, that's gotta suck. But hey, don't we all live for that 'tug'...there'll be other tournaments ya know.....but you may never get another 'tug' like that one gave ya. Nice work, though, just to get that ugly thang in the boat. You should've just put a bass costume on him and maybe nobody would've noticed.

i did that on texoma throwing a crank bait on a rocky pointe when i first saw it i thought i had a 10lb small mouth i babyed it to the boat and felt sick when i got it up to the side i worked my butt off to catch a dang buffalo... if i had been cat fishing i would have had all the cut bait i needed...
