People are catching crappie up the north bosque at the two bridges. Most that I have seen are on the small side. If you don't mind the boat show and crowded areas then that is your spot.

I use a kayak so I tend to try to get way from large numbers of pb's. Just safer that way. I am going to be camping at Airport for the first part of sping break week after next. Planned to do some jugging and chasing crappie and whites if possible.

I have looked on the web but have had no luck. The best I have ever seen was an old USGS map from befor the lake was built and you could see the contours. That map was in a geology class at MCC 15 years ago.

I caught a few last friday at the back of speegleville creek. There is just so much water that can be holding crappie it is hard to find them. I caught all males so maybe this weekend there will be more back in the creeks.

Hey thanks Killjug. Only map I've seen is the lake its self with no depth lines. Brad

For all you guys looking for Lake waco Topo maps there is only one place I know of that has them. It is called Rapid printing in Robinson, Texas. google them and get the number. I will warn you they are very hard to get in touch with.

JigPullinBrad,

What kind of fishfinder/gps do you have? If it's a Lowrance or FishMark unit, you could use the free enhanced lake map of Waco.

Clyde I only have a Lowrance 510C and a Eagle Mark 480(neither have gps). I use a hand held gps so I can bring it with me if I fish with others. Next time I uprade boats which hopefully soon, I will go with color gps system. Do you have a mapping system w/Waco on it? Brad

Brad,

I have the Lowrance enhanced free lake map of Waco installed on FishMark Elite 480. So I've seen (have) a map of the lake with contours on it. fish
