Every body of water is different. Best to ask at the lake office. But many put brush out covertly in hopes to not get caught.

Not to get caught and probably more so not to let other people know where they are. Takes alot of work to put out a good brushpile.

Is a genst the law to put brushpiles or PVC croppie condoes in our lakes in texas? Depends on who governs the body of water... If it is a Corp lake or water governed by most River Authorities (Trinity, Brazos, etc) then written permission must be received to place brushpiles (natural or artificial). This topic came up recently, I was not sure if it were 'legal' or not either so I called the Grapevine Corp office and got some answers... below is the previous thread this discussion came up. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/3153190/Fish_Crib#Post3153190

My opinion is worth what you paid for it...
The phenomenon formerly known as Weather shall now on be called Climate Change.
