Was wondering the up and down sides of using LineX for a Keel Guard. Didn't know if anyone had tried this. Any thoughts are appreciated.

real rough, got it in my pick up bed. works great for p.u. and interior of boat, was gonna do mine but went with carpet. keel, probably create alot of drag i.e. waste gas.

I saw a guy that line-x the entire bottom of his boat, his theory was that the boat would go faster because of all the bubbles that the bumps make on the bottom side of the boat.... (true story call Line-X of Harker Heights if you dont belive it)......I couldnt listen to anymore of his theory's with a straight face......
The line-x dealer and Texas Boat World in Harker Heights, promote those line-x keels, I think most boats on plane have that part of the keel out of the water anyway dont they?
I dont know about effectiveness, but they sure dont give any like a rubber one would...

yeah i figured that. keelguard advertises less drag, but it is real smooth once on the boat. i wonder if they could smooth it out after they spray it. thx for the reply.

I had my trailer Line-X last year and really like it.....its a smooth surface to the touch, but its bumpy (if that makes any sense).....not sure how that would do on the keel....
