I am looking to get a new reel for mostly shallow and some mid range crankbaits. Would I be better off with the 5.4:1 ratio revo winch or the 6.4:1 revo stx?

I use my Winch for all my lipped crankbaits, shallow to deep.

I would go with the lower gear ratio, I throw a 4:3:1 on dd22's and when the water is a bit chilly.

Shimano Curado DPV very reasonable on ebay. 5.0:1.

Higher speed ratio will work it is just harder to "make" yourself retrieve it slower. if you have the money and the options go with the 5.4, i have alot of the 6.4 revos, which i use for crankin, however the next one i buy will be a 5.4 just so i dont have to concetrate so much on retrieval speed.

I think I will go with the winch. Thanks for the feedback and recommendations.
