Okay, gotta get personal. What drawers are you supposed to wear when wet wading with these fancy fast drying pants? Drawers, you know, underwear....

Wet-wading, especially in microfiber, is definitely a commando situation.

For fancy quick drying pants you have to wear the fancy quick drying briefs...Under Armor makes some that they sell at Academy.
How do I know this? The significant other had the same question.
And guys...for the sake of all us ladies...I'd refrain from going commando unless you've checked beforehand. Some of those pants are see-through when wet!

Hey, I was serious - if I'm wet-wading, I'm wearing one layer only. Typically it's a bathing suit, but that's just me.

I have to wear long sleeves and pants and gloves and a hat so yes covered is a must. I have been looking on the internet, but some of these drawers I have been finding go for 25 plus, I was looking for a good compromise or a list of materials I should look for to keep from being miserable.

Years ago we had a casual Friday dress code. Western style blue jeans, spaghetti straps, and thongs were out. I had to ask who was going to check on the thongs.
