what are the fish doing on lake o the pines

was wondering myself......was there last Friday and caught fish in Meddlin Creek....and am planning on heading out this Friday too.....thought about putting in at Tejas and fishing back in the creek right there and heading over to Hurricane Creek. Usually catch fish in those spots....I don't fish tourneys so I go just to have fun and catch as many as I can.....not worried about size.....although catching a 5-6 pounder would be fun!

there were quite a few boats up by the bridge and beyond when I got there Friday so thats why I went to Meddlin Creek area....I caught some on a tilapia with gold blades spinnerbait and a greenish Lake Fork Tackle creature bait. All were real shallow up by the weedline....the ones on the creature came off of fallen logs.

On Friday I think I'm going to put in at Tejas down south and fish the cove and creek there and over in Hurricane Creek....heading into Hurricane Creek there is a cover first thing on the right.....if you head to the back where it kinda opens up and gets rounder that whole back end is filled with laydowns....always seem to catch a bunch back there...will throw a spinnerbait and creature bait back there.....its also a great place to fish out of the wind!
