I tried the east bank from the bridge to the lock sunday afternoon. Slow at best. Guys that were leaving when I got there had massive stringers of fish. I caught four. Three whites and one small (but legal) hybrid. But, no one else was catching much either, so I didn't feel to bad. Fellow fishing upstream of me caught two hybrids on live shad.
I had fished here a couple times in the past and you can go broke losing roadrunners and jigheads to the snags in the river. Sunday I used a texas rigged 3" jigtail with a 1/4 oz torpedo weight. The rigged slithered over the hang up spots and still caught fish. Might work anywhere you have a bunch of snags. Unlike fishing a jig, you have to set the hook hard.

A Draper, you probably saw us leaving around 11:30am with 18 nice whites on the stringer. We fished the Centerville side by the stick up tree in the water. It was our first time there and caught about 25 or so total. They liked white speck rigs and roadrunners slow rolled along the bottom. Did lose lots of lures, but that was expected.
I cant believe all the trash that people leave on the banks there. Got my feet all tangled up in the miles and miles of discarded fishing line all over. I guess some people are trashy!

It's almost as bad as below Lake Livingston dam. On the east side of the river where the bank fishermen are there is sooooooooo much trash. People throw down everything.

Charlie, we didn't get there till about 3:00 pm. We fished the east side. It's trashed out and the fishing line is a pain. But, it's an interesting place to go and good bank places are hard to find. I would be willing to donate a couple hours, truck, trailer and trash bags for a clean up operation.
