Big Cat

I was afraid they might have tied a concrete bucket to your foot and slipped you over the side with the brush, when we had not heard from you in awhile. Next time, they may need two buckets. haha

Ruthless, just plain ruthless.

If they had sunk me, the Casino would never see any crappie again.

LOL

Lake is around 4' low, so it's hovering around 10' at the slips, but they are brushed well with cedars/willows Stuck.

We've been catching a few here n there, but we're hoping the warmer weather will drive the pre-spawners in soon.

Thanks for the info! cheers

kissmybass,

I did not get the chance to talk to Gordon this weekend. Unfortunately he is in the hospital with heart troubles so you guys keep him in you prayers. I will get back with you once he is home and feeling better, and we have a chance to talk.

He is in Harris DT and so far no news. They thought it might be a heart attack, but were not sure...they have kept him two nights so far.

I have been worried about him since a few weeks ago, when he talked about being short of breath and showed me his chest scar. He never slows down and he downs a lot of cholesterol from what he tells me he eats.

I just tried to leave him a message earlier telling him I was coming out middle of the week and bringing my mother, who hasn't fished in over 2 years for him to meet.

Prayers sent! This is definitely saddening news. Was looking forward to my mother meeting him. I hope he recovers with no issues.

Primo,

That's good to hear. My guess he'll be back up and at em' soon.
I had thought about going out there this evening, but not sure my mom's up to it after her drive from McKinney this afternoon.

If not, we'll be out there a good part of the day tomorrow I'm sure.

So sounds like the fishing hasn't changed much from a week ago, warm weather or not.

Soooo, assuming it was slow after I left both at the slips and in the boat?

Hmmm...ok, had been thinking about fishing the slips a few hours right after I get off work at midnight, but not if only a few small ones are biting. hmmm barf

As for the wind, get used to it because it's lasting most of this week. It's Spring, so the winds will be with us til at least May/June. whip

Maybe I'll just hit the slips real early in the morning(Sunday) til about mid-morning to see if they're really coming in, or if it's just an evening bite. popcorn2

Hmmm...called Primo but no answer. I'm still debating about going out after work tonight, or just sleeping 4-5 hours, then going in around daybreak.

I would love to have the place more to myself, but not if it means losing sleep for little or no slabs.
