I went out bass fishing today on Lake Waxahachie and it turned out to be a very good day. I caught this monster on a 6" pink senko. There is currently no registered lake record but this is a big crappie. Going tomorrow to get it put on certified scales.
Not official yet but my scale says 2 lb 7 oz, 16" long

Weigh it now or she'll lose weight.

There are some nice Crappie in Waxahachie. I have not been on it in a while, water is low and I don't like to beach my boat waiting until the courtesy dock has water again. Nice Crappie for sure! Did you catch it by the dam? There are several brush piles in that area. Can you get past the pipe to the creek end? Congratulations on a record Slab! thumb

Wow! Better get it weighed quick! That's awesome you caught it on a 6" worm! I may have to bring some different tackle to the slips tomorrow!

Whenever you guys catch record fish, do not wait until the next day to have them weighed. They will lose 10% or more in body weight overnight. On the way home just stop by any grocery store, put the fish in a plastic grocery bag and bring it to the deli or meat market and have them weigh it. All the scales in grocery stores are certified. Some stores may balk at letting you weigh the fish at their store. In that case, just go to another grocery. For a lake record all you need is one witness, the person behind the counter weighing it. Put their name and the store's phone number on the record app. You do not need the scale's certification date.
