My Johnson 115 was doing this exact same thing. After posting on here and getting some advice, I changed the fuel primer bulb and hoses which was a quick, cheap, and easy change and everything has worked great ever since then. The old bulb had gotten hard and the clamps holding the hoses on had been stripped which you couldn't notice until you went to tighten them so I don't think it was allowing the fuel system to keep enough pressure to keep fuel flowing steady. I also added Sta-bil green fuel treatment to my tank which seems to have made a difference. I had just bought the boat used and I think the fuel had been sitting in it for a while.
Just thought I would throw it out there for you, it's a cheap try.

Could be a bunch of things. If he has any kinda luck like me, it will cost him 5K to fix this problem. But if he actually has some luck, it's either the kill switch, ECU, or the battery posts need to be re-tightened.

I hate to say it but it must be all the Aggie clothes we wear. I am starting to think it's the 2000 OU/A&M ticket I still have in my wallet.
