anyone know? it sure would be nice if espn would actually talk about how they are catching them, not just covering it like a golf tourney.

I heard skeet was fishing a 3/8 lucky craft spinner bait and the new crazy legs chigger craw.

They DID talk about and show the chigger craw that Skeet was fishing. They also "showed" his spinnerbait, but I did not catch brand or weight, but do not believe that is particularly important.

I just got to watch the DVR of it. Didn't even know who won. Wouldn't even get on here other than answering PM's. That was the bait, appeared to be a black one. Ike was using a 4" generic Black/Neon Tube for 2nd.

On good authority, I believe Skeet used a 3/8 oz spinnerbait that LC is making with 50 lb spiderwire line. Other guys used the 3/8 or slightly less to downsize. He also used a Berkley crazylegs chigger craw on about a 3/8 oz tungtsen weight and 20lb trilene 100%. If guys were punching mats, they were using 1 oz or better because the hyacinth was a little too thick for anything else. Kelly Jordon used a Lake Fork Tackle magic shad in a brownish color with some gold flake. HE was the only one I know of that used the jerk bait with success. Fralick used a V/M jig with a trailer swimming it a bit. Aaron Martins used a 6 inch Roboworm drop shotting it quite a bit. Bobby Lane a small spinnerbait with good results. There were also RC 1.5's in use for crankbaits. Hope this helps. If you have any more on water questions, I will try to remember. --- RF
