I currently have a Maxxum 70 and want to upgrade to newer unit with a litte more power and features without going to a 36v system. Any recommendations?

I am leaning towards the the model below unless i hear too many negative things.

Does anyone have a MK Terrova 80/AP/US2, if so do you recommend this unit?

The Autopilot and copilot feature is really appealing but is it functional or just a useless "feature"?

Good Point. I will be Bass fishing. What i am looking for in a nutshell is to be able to stay on a spot and manuver the boat in high winds without creating a full time job.

I suppose i will need to do something with it. So yes i will sell it once i get it replaced. I am probably not going to make the new purchase until sometime next month but i will PM you once i am ready to sell. Id say $250.00 sounds fair.

I have a Terrova 80/autopilot/us2 with 60 inch shaft on a 19 ft Red Fin Center Consol, and It is the best motor we have ever had.
I have had alot of TM's before and we use them hard and usually
use them till the warranty is up and then upgrade.
I have had this one for over a year now and it has never needed to go to the shop yet
The autopilot is awesome and I rarely use the motor with out it turned on, it really makes it easier to fish in the wind and in
every instance that you need your TM
80 lbs has been plenty of Power
US2 is ok because there are no wires and it would be hard to
install a transducer any other way with the way the TM Deploys
US2 is not my favorite but it works OK
Hope this Helps

Have to remember that there is no give or breakaway in the Terrova mount like you have with the Maxxum mount. Just a thought since you said you will be bass fishing with it.

Minn Kota Maxxum Pro 80, 24 volt system would be my choice.

exactly what I have on my skeeter zx202c(20'). 52" shaft for big waves, and will pull up for shallow (2'deep) flats. advice would be to save your money and dont get the universal sonar..... i dont like it.

what issues do you have with the US2? Curious. I just purchased a Minn K0ta PowerDrive 70 with US2. Just need to know what to look for.
