Hey Guys
Getting a house built and did not really notice that in the plans it calls for double doors. They are 8 feet wide. Do most bass boats fit through an 8 foot wide door? I am not only thinking about my current boat but any future boat as well. I currently have a 19FT Champion F/S 191. with the original Champion trailer.
Thanks
AJ

I have a house with double garage doors. I didn't think about the width as and issue and measured depth and made double sure there would be no issues getting the boat to fit in length wise. I bought the boat and brought it home and boy did my wife give me an evil look when she walked out and realized the trailer was wider than the door opening. The boat is now at boat storage, which I actually prefer because I still have my parking spot in the garage, but to answer your question the double doors (96") like mine are probably just a little too narrow for your trailer to fit in. Good luck!

You can take the two doors out and replace with one large door.

I hope that replacing with one large door is an option since you are in the building stage. Mine are offset by about 2 feet so one is a little longer than the other side, so no option to tear down the center brick column and go with bigger door.
I like having the split doors , would be nice if you could get them to both be 9' openings since you're building.
Be sure to consider what you're parking in there besides the boat too, my wife's expedition will only fit if we fold the drivers side mirror in before pulling into the garage, and then its still a slow cautious parking job.

I am working with the builder to put in one door now. The foreman had tried to get a 10ft and an 8ft approved but it was rejected. Now there are looking at the cost of going to one since they have to put in a stronger wood beam across the top. The other vehicle is a Sequoia and is a little thinner than the Expedition we used to have. I like the look of the split doors as well.

I have split doors and although I could fit my old boat (16 ft) in there, it was a very tight fit going thru the door with the trailer. Had about 2 inches of clearance on either side. Got a new boat now, and it doesn't come close to fitting thru the door. Have mine in storage too, which I like as well. My opinion would be to go with a single door if you really want to put your boat in the garage, it is less hassle to get in and out.

You can take the two doors out and replace with one large door. Thats what I did on the new house I will be moving into next week. I had them put an 18' in. I also made it 24' deep so I can squeeze my boat and truck in there. If you can get a 9' and 8' you would be ok and that would look better I think...but that may not be possible as it was not for me.
