Get some Panfish Assasins, Midsouth Tackle tubes, Jigum Jigs or some Thumpit Jigs and you should do good.

And don't forget to call Bill Carr @ Hook-Em Jigs (817/277-0825) and get some of his hand-tied jigs.
Good stuff!

If you have nothing but Rocky Tops from Finny Tribe, Panfish Assassins, and JigUm's you're set. Stick with the basic colors to start. White/chartreuse and black/chartreuse are good all-around colors. If you buy some of the Panfish Assassins in Opening Night they don't work well at all Send 'em to me for proper disposal....

Find a guide down there and get a good education to start with and you will be money ahead. That is how I learned bass and crappie fishing techniques and they paid off.
