I knew I shoulda checked this board before I wasted my time drowning those shrimp up at Bethany Lakes. I was after cats but didn't catch anything but moss. I know it's the weather got things slowed down, but I've forgotten what 'fish on' feels like.

I've got to wonder if the guy who said this spot was drained had his timing right. If you remember we had a lot of rain last spring that caused alot of flooding problems for people. I am sure that he was not wrong in saying the thing was drained, contractors do that stuff all the time, but if it was drained before the floods, temporary creek channels may have allowed bass to migrate there before the water receded. Just an idea.

There are some huge bass in Twin Lakes in Richardson. Fish the north tank. I caught my all time bass their, 10.7lbs. and several in the 5-7lb range and a couple 8lbs. Throw a brush hog, watermelon as close as you can to the drain and let it sit. I have been their when they shocked the tank and 12.4 was weighed. Only bad thing is that this pond was dredged a few years ago and I know some of the bass were relocated to white rock lake. It's still worth a shot though as there were some monster bass in their.

whiterockjesse, the closest main cross streets are Campbell and Coit. The lakes are on either north and south side of Campbell about a block or two west of Coit. There are some tall powerlines running right overhead that you should see as you head west from Coit.
I drive by this every day after work and I think on Thursday I am going to stop by after 5:00 and check them out.
