Look past the bushes, there is land beyond the bushes.

Went yesterday at 4:30. Water is low, so you can cast from pretty much anywhere. Didn't hook anything though. A little windy.

I've had luck on the north end of LB Houston. Look for the artificial rock escarpement. Water is still double digits in depth.

Haven't fished in a while & my son said he'd be interested in going sometime. We live in Allen and that place on 1378 and Bethany Lakes sounds pretty good. Where do y'all park when you fish at 1378?

Hank Hill : Just in case I'm incapacitated for some reason, do you know how to start a man's heart with a downed power line?

Bobby: No.

Hank : Well, there's really no wrong way to do it.

You can park anywhere on the street..if you have not been you will see..you can park about 15 ft from the bank...1378 has slowed down alot...My last 3 trips I ended up with 1-2 fish or just flat out skunked..I still have faith in 1378 though just from all of the NICE bass I pulled out last Fall/Early winter but with all these BS cold fronts blowin through ever 3 days its just has the bass in shut down mode...I'll be back there soon as I suspect it will be off limits once they finish they ritsy neigborhhod they are building aorund it....

I just got back from 1378 after fishing for about 30 minutes (no luck) then having a very interesting conversation with the owner of Meade Services Group. They are doing the erosion control for this development. While I was fishing he came up to me and asked if I was having any luck, I told him no, then he asked me if I have ever caught fish out of here. I told him yes, particularly last fall. He commented that that was very interesting because the lake was drained dry about 7-8 months ago. He said you could walk across the lake. They drained it to implement some erosion control measures then they assisted in installing the fountain in the middle. He said the place was over run with monster sized crayfish, and the bottom was white with golf balls, but otherwise no fish!! He was shocked when I told him I had caught some decent fish last fall out of there. He also said the lower lake was drained completely.......

I know, I've caught plenty of nice fish out of there in the last 5 months, but I am absolutely sure the guy was on the level, He was in his Meade truck, he knew all the guys cleaning up the debris and laying the grass. He also knew way to many details about the development (builders, owners, etc). Still doesn't explain how those quality fish got in there??

He also said that they had to make sure there were no issues with runoff into the Heard Museum Lake. He said that lake looks absolutely unbelievable, but they we adamant that you could not fish it!!!!

I have seen the Heard Meuseum lake..and YES its looks VERY VERY fishy..like an untouched golden gem kind of thing...Yup I bet they would run me off in a heartbeat..but I'm thinking maybe one day I might can sneak a few casts in there..I'm thinking it might be connected underground somehow..because thats very odd about how many quality fish are in it and it just got drained 8 months ago...I have caught some HARD fighting chunks in it....I have been fishing 1378 for about 3 years now..waaayy before any of this construction started...actually back then I had to park AT the Heard Meuseum and walk a good 15-20 minutes through Tall grass and down an abandonded golf cart path to even get to it....back then there was grass up to my waist surrounding the entire pond and you could barely fish it from the bank....It was an old pond on a golf course that shut down some years back...walking from the Heard Meuseum I used to use the old golf cart path and I would see old golf carts in an abandonded shed...This pond being on and old golf course could explain the number of chunks in it...With it being close to the Heard lake..and that guy saying that it was drained 8 months back has got me wondering if it is connected underground to Heard...who knows..thats wierd though...I see fish busting the surface alll the time..My best day there was back in October..I fished for about 2 hours one evening with a Chartrouse Terminator and caught 26 Bass...biggest was pushing 3
