I came up with a missing jug one time at cedar creek and found it about about a mile away with a 62lb on the end right buy Big chief, I didn't have far to go to get it weighed and a picture took of it.

down stream looking for it. Arg, i'm so p*ssed.

Another Prime example of why jug lines and trot lines should be banned, outlawed.

never had my lab tangled up in a trotline or jug line. But I have had one tangled up in monofilament with ----- bass lure on it. I duck hunt in shallow water, if they set a trotline there, they are a huge rookie. I also carry a very sharp Bowie knife, I want to get that line cut as fast as possible. Sallysue, what type of retriever you got?

Don't laugh but I live on the lake and people are always dumping dogs off. I found this mutt 9 years ago and she's maybe lab and spaniel but acts like a chessie. I've been hunting her now for 8 years and still going strong. I am retired and able to hunt a lot and she hangs in there. I shoot maybe 300 plus dove over her every year and duck her maybe 4 times a week. I even crow hunt with her.

My opion is that jug lining and trot lines aren't fishing its just harvesting. As much pressure there is on the lakes now days it would not bother me if they outlawed it. Too me there no sport in that type of fishing

I'm a jug fisherman and I'd be for a law that allowed wardens to take up a line of any kind that had been there more than 5 days (except commercial).
